TTI, Inc. announces new partnership with APEM and IDEC in EMEA covering HMI products
Pan-Europe deal covers panel switches, LED indicators, PCB switches, joysticks, and Emergency stop push buttons

January 2018- TTI, Inc., a world leading specialist distributor of electronic components, has signed a pan-European franchise agreement with APEM, which was recently acquired by IDEC, one of the leading worldwide manufacturers of human-machine interface products. The partnership builds on a longstanding and successful relationship between APEM and TTI in France. Furthermore, following the acquisition of the APEM group by IDEC Corporation in 2017, TTI will also expand its product offering to include a wide selection of the IDEC products, including 16 and 22mm switches, enabling and interlock switches, and industrial relays. The combined APEM and IDEC product portfolio further reinforces TTI’s electro-mechanical offering and specifically enhances their leadership in HMI panel components.

APEM develops, manufactures and sells a wide range of switching products. The company has chosen to vertically integrate all phases of production in the three regions EMEA, America, and Asia, controlling all phases of product development and manufacturing. Contributing to APEM‘s market strength in Europe are manufacturing locations in France, Tunisa, Italy, Denmark and the UK. APEM's strong quality reputation is recognized by diversified markets such as tranportation vehicles, industrial automation, defence and aerospace, instrumentation, and communications, and confirmed by many international approvals including UL/CSA and VDE.

Commented Ros Kruger, Director, Supplier Marketing Europe – E/Mech, Sensors and Power: “The APEM portfolio will significantly strengthen our HMI product capability. Initially, we are focusing on sectors such as agricultural machinery, materials handling and defence ground equipment. We will stock a wide selection of APEM’s parts especially LED indicators and IDEC’s emergency stop push-buttons.”

Added Jim Cooper, VP EMEA Sales for APEM & IDEC: “We are very proud to announce this next step in our relationship with TTI. We continue to see a great deal of scope to grow sales across the EMEA region, and by combining the scope and capabilities of the TTI sales network with the high quality, high specification of the APEM and IDEC products we expect this to ensure that both new and existing customers benefit from increased product availability and excellent customer service.”
