Bei der Entwicklung dieser Schalterreihe hatten Sicherheit und Benutzerfreundlichkeit oberste Priorität, was sich unter anderem in der einfachen Montage, der mechanischen Verriegelung des Sicherheitshebels (um eine Kontakttrennung bei starken Vibrationen zu verhindern) und der großen Auswahl an Not-Aus-Modellen (die alle der EN418 entsprechen) zeigt.
Zu den einzigartigen Merkmalen der HW-Serie zählt der einteilig konstruierte HW Unibody Not-Aus-Schalter, der verhindert, dass die Schalterfunktion durch Manipulation oder falsche Montage beeinträchtigt wird. Eine weitere Neuerung sind die federbelasteten, unverlierbaren Schraubklemmen, mit denen die Verdrahtung von Ringkabelschuhen einfacher denn je ist.

Previously, 5 different color LEDs were required but with the new illuminated LED unit, only a single LED is used.

Simple wiring for greater work efficiency
Ferrules and solid wires can be connected simply by push-in insertion, without a screwdriver. (*1)
To remove, a flat-blade screwdriver is inserted in a simple two-action process.
Since wiring can be performed regardless of operators' skill level, wiring time is reduced.
*1) When connecting stranded wire, insert the wire while holding down the pusher
with a flat-blade screwdriver.
