Relays
IDEC is an established and well-known industrial relay manufacturer. For many decades IDEC has supplied the widest selection of relays in the market. Designed with attention to every detail, IDEC relays are manufactured to ensure precision and quality. Either din-rail, panel or PCB mounted, we have the relays that work for your applications.
RJ relays were designed with the same attention-to-detail IDEC is known for. The most recent IDEC innovation is a return spring structure for the RJ relays that eliminates unnecessary weak points improving durability, and increasing electrical conductivity and service life. Available in both Plug-in blade or PCB type, SPDT or DPDT (Form A or Form C) configuration, and up to 16A rated contact, there are no regrets once you design in an RJ relay. Unique light guide to give you a brighter and more noticeable status indicator from multiple directions. Unique return spring structure allows usage for better materials thus higher contact rating. With 3 times the life expectancy of similar units, you worry less about maintenance and replacing relays.
CATALOGThe adaptable RU series are available in either 2 pole (DPDT) or 4 pole (4DPDT) models. Both RU2 and RU4 models have multiple standard features, including a non-polarized green indicator LED, a mechanical indicator flag, an easily accessible and replaceable marking plate, and a manual latching lever, coded orange/red for AC coil and green/blue for DC coil.
What sets the RU relays apart from other relays is the unique internal construction. There is no internal wiring, which means no weak solder points and a completely lead-free manufacturing process. The contacts are cadmium-free as well, making the RU relays environmentally-friendly. All RU relays are also manufactured by a totally automated assembly process which means the relay is of the highest quality because the possibility of human error has been eliminated during the manufacturing process.
IDEC has developed an innovative and simple method of identifying the RU series of relays. Several different colored marking plates are now available that can be used to replace the standard marking plate found on the top of the RU relay.
These marking plates are available in yellow (standard color), green, orange, blue or white. In addition, the marking plates can be further identified by using either a pencil or pen to write directly on them. You can, in effect, create your own customized label that is actually part of the relay. The marking plates are located on the top of the relay rather than on the socket.
In addition, IDEC has developed the RU relay with low signal switching bifurcated contacts. The RU42S model has a maximum contact rating of 3 amps 250V AC while maintaining a minimum switching load of 0.1mA @ 1V DC, allowing you to use this relay for all your dry circuit switching needs.
High performance relays with up to 5A (DPDT) contacts. An LED indicator enables high visibility of coil status.
CATALOGFeaturing the same contact ratings as the larger RR series, the RH series uses silver cadmium oxide contacts to help reduce voltage arcing. Available in 1 to 4 poles, with either .187 blade plug-in or PCB terminals, the RH series is known for going the distance. Options include manual check buttons, LED indicators, and top flange covers for direct surface mounting. All models carry worldwide approvals including UL, CSA, TUV and CE. Using a standard terminal arrangement, the RH series will plug into many competitors' sockets. In fact, since we private label sockets for so many companies, there is a good chance that the socket you are using was designed specifically for RH series relays.
CATALOGIDEC interface relays provide a compact solution for general purpose relay requirements. The RV8 series interface relays are ideal for PLC and other controller output, industrial automation, panel builders, assembly machine applications and other applications that require a high switching capability in a compact space. The RV8 relays can be used as a universal interfaces between the controller and the actuator to switch small and medium size loads.  Installation time is greatly reduced with pre-assembled relays and sockets &ndash with either screw connections or spring clamp terminations. Replacement relays and sockets are also available. Optional accessories include jumpers, spacers and marking plates to facilitate wiring and quick identifications. The primary versions available are:
RV8H - 6mm
The 6mm electromechnical relays ave a 6A contact rating, with voltage input ranges from 5VDC to 240VAC- with several universal versions wich can accept both AC and DC inputs.
RV8H - 14mm
The 14mm electromicanical relay have 6A to 16A contact ratings in a 1-pole or 2-pole relay.
Both RV8H electromicanical relays sizes includes Class I, Div 2 ratings for use in Hazardous Locations.
CATALOGThe RY series of relays satisfy applications for lower level switching needs such as pilot lights or logic level devices. The RY has standard gold plated contacts to prevent contact oxidation from affecting circuit continuity, while optional Palladium alloy bifurcated contacts reduce contact bounce and allow circuit switching in the micro-amp range.
Terminated with a standard footprint of blade plug-in terminals or with PCB pins, the RY series fit into many competitors' sockets as well. The RY2 is a true two pole relay that occupies half the width of the four pole. Available options include manual check buttons, LED indicators, or top flanged dust covers for direct surface mounting.
The RJ22 model has a maximum contact rating of 1amp at 250V AC, while maintaining a minimum switching load of 100uA 1V DC, allowing customers to use this relay for their dry circuit switching needs. With the shortest width on the market RJ bifurcated relays are durable, compact and available with plug-in or PCB terminals.
Plug-In Terminal
A non-polarized green LED indicator is available (except on the simple type), utilizing IDEC&rsquo s unique light-guide structure to enable these relays to be identified by the illuminated green LED. Diode, reverse polarity diode, and RC circuits are also available with peak inverse voltages of 1000V.
PCB Terminal
Like the rest of the RJ family, RJ22 PCB bifurcated relays have been manufactured with attention to even the smallest details. Using our automated manufacturing technologies, an innovative design was utilized in the internal construction of moving parts ensuring the highest-quality, reliable relays. This includes a unique return spring structure eliminating unnecessary weak points, allowing for increased electrical conductivity and longer service life. Both DPDT and DPST-NO contact configuration types are available in a flux-tight structure.
RJ Plug-in and PCB Terminal relays (with bifurcated contacts) are UL recognized, CSA certified, VDE approved and CE marked.

RJ PCB relays, the newest addition to our relay family, were designed with the same attention-to-detail IDEC is known for. The most recent IDEC innovation is a return spring structure for the RJ PCB relays that eliminates unnecessary weak points improving durability, and increasing electrical conductivity and service life.
CATALOGDesigned with a 1- and 2-pole 3HP/277V AC rating in an economical and compact package, 30A RL power relays are the superior choice for HVAC panels, energy management and applications requiring higher voltage loads and inductive kickback.
Choose from panel or DIN rail mounting. Unlike the competition, when DIN rail mounted, RL relays don’t require a socket or adaptor. Quick Connect terminals allow faster installation on commercial applications, while screw terminations are ideal for industrial applications.
These magnetic latching relays have excellent self-holding performance and operate by pulse input so they maintain conditions even during power failures. They are available in AC and DC coil voltages up to 10A. DIN rail and panel mount sockets are available for a wide range of mounting applications.
CATALOGForce-guided relays are key electromechanical switching components, providing a failsafe within safety circuits and detecting failures such as contact welding or damage to the contact spring failure. Often used in combination with elevator controls, interlock switches, light curtains and emergency stop switches, these relays are crucial in safety control applications. Available as a plug-in (RF2S) or pc board (RF2V), RF2 force-guided relays are ideal if you only need two contacts or if you want to add multiple relays in a series. In combination with the SJ series of finger-safe sockets, these compact relays provide reliable safety for man and machine in the event of a malfunction, while cutting down on cost and installation space.
