Reduce costs of parts that comply with standards regulations
A mass production system implemented at a smartphone production factory has hundreds or even thousands of the same machine tools installed to be able to ship large amount of products in a short period right before a new product is released to the market. However, because a new smartphone is released approximately every year, a new machine tool must be purchased if the existing machine tool cannot be used for the new product due to a model change.

To reduce the unit price of machine tools, smartphone manufacturers also request for machine tool manufacturers to reduce costs.
